Many modern Brother laser printers can only use 1000 pages of toner. This printer is definitely not recommended because the 1000 page toner needs to be changed quite often during a lot of printing.
This is one of the reasons why I chose this great printer because it uses 2600 pages of toner and even better, we now have a Brother TN 2350 High Yield toner that produces 5200 pages.
Brother laser printers have stood the test of time as reliable workhorses that guarantee you at least a few years of reliable printing without major problems. This standard black and white laser printer has no faults except for the drum, which needs to be replaced every 12,000 pages.
One of the other big advantages is that this printer is very cheap to run until you are happy with the overall toner cartridge. I want to emphasize that the quality of generic toner varies widely, and unless you use quality toner from a reputable supplier, you run the risk of problems.
