The fuser on the Brother MFC-L8900CDW printer may need to be replaced due to various reasons experienced by the printer. There is a fuser lifetime copy counter that is set to display a message on the screen recommending replacing the Fuser after two hundred thousand pages have been written through the fuser. It’s also common to replace the fuser for the path that appears on the page.

The heated surface of the Teflon roller will be scratched by the extractor feet which are designed to separate the page from the roller surface. If any of these pawls begin to wear out to the surface, the toner can stick to this space and be deposited on the next page of this space.   3. Next, Slide the 3 tabs of the new toner filter into the slot. Rotate the toner filter until each clip snaps into place, tightening the new toner filter.

Do Step 4 to swap the clamping roller out

  1. Do so Using a spring latch, or a flat screwdriver, slide one side of the released clamp roller spring off the post. A spring locking device is, highly recommended for this step.
  2. Next, Slide the opposite side of the clamping roller spring away from the post. we tend to strongly recommend a spring locking device for simple releases.
  3. Next, Slide the clamping roller up and out through the slot to remove it from the assembly.
  4. Next, Spread the spring slowly to release the clamping roller.
  5. Next, Slowly stretch the spring once again to insert the new clamping roller.
  6. Next, Slide the clamping rollers into the assembly through the slots around them, with the corners of the springs exposed, matching the opposing springs. It’s best at this point to hold the springs back a bit from the assembly. Twist the spring down into the assembly, but just long enough to cut the edges which are very cheap nowadays.
  7. Next, Slide the left loop of the spring over the appropriate post. the ring must pass through all the posts so that the spring does not dislodge.
  8. Next, Slide the correct spring loop over the appropriate post. Again, confirm the area unit loops all the way through the post to stop the spring from dislodging.
  9. Next, push the flat bottom edge of the spring under the retaining tab to secure the spring firmly in place.
  10. Next, repeat steps one through nine for the remaining three staple rollers.

Then gently slide it into place until the fuser assembly is fully seated on the back and aligned with the screw holes.   1. With the printer initialized and in print-ready mode with the home screen displayed on the screen, press and hold the home icon for five seconds to display the Serial No. screen. & Computer storage version.
  2. Next up, Tap blanks which are very cheap.
  3. Next, Tap *, 2, 8, 6, four in the event to enter Maintenance Mode.
  4. Next, Tap on the eighty eight in the event to enter the “Reset counter for expendable parts” mode.
